Philip Buddell Auctions

    We’re back again

So it’s a case of ‘Never Say Never’ when it comes to holding another auction!

Thank you to all those who attended the auction on Saturday, June 13th at Ponsanooth.  It proved the best way to clear a medium-sized property, and fortunately there were co-operative neighbours and no parking problems

The last time I held an auction at a private property was many years ago at Portmellon where a Japanese film crew were shooting various aspects of Cornish life.  The scene was superb overlooking St Austell Bay from a cliff-top garden on a beautifully sunny and warm June day.  I still recall the Japanese presenter buying one of the lots and causing great hilarity, never before having attended an auction!  The weather was similarly very kind to us on 13th, with the sun popping out just as we started the sale, though disappearing by 11.30am and cooling dramatically for the remainder of the day – at least there was no rain!

No further auction sales are planned, although there is every likelihood that another will crop up from time to time and which will be fully promoted on the web site and through local papers.  So please keep watching, and let’s hope Cornwall enjoys a good and warm summer!
